Audiometric Testing

Audiometric testing is an essential component of occupational health screening and can help identify and prevent hearing loss among workers exposed to high levels of noise.

Pulmonary Function Testing

In the oil field industry, where workers are exposed to various airborne hazards such as dust, chemicals, and fumes, regular pulmonary function testing is crucial to detect any respiratory abnormalities or conditions.

Qualitative/Quantitative Fit Testing

One of the important aspects of maintaining respiratory health in the oil field industry is ensuring that workers have the proper fit and use of respiratory protective equipment, such as masks and respirators. This is where qualitative and quantitative fit testing comes in.

Qualitative Fit Testing

Qualitative fit testing is a method used to determine whether a specific mask or respirator provides a proper fit and seal on a worker's face.

The worker wears the mask or respirator and performs various movements, such as moving their head side to side or up and down, while the test agent is released. If the worker can taste or smell the test agent, it indicates a poor fit and the mask or respirator needs to be adjusted or replaced.

Qualitative Fit Testing

Quantitative fit testing provides a numerical measurement of the fit and seal of a mask or respirator on a worker's face. This type of fit testing uses specialized equipment, such as a particle counter, that measures the number of particles in the ambient air and the number of particles inside the mask or respirator.
